Denmark launches project to store CO2 beneath the North Sea, becoming the first nation to bury imported CO2. Petrobras and Equinor partner for up to seven offshore wind farms in Brazil, with a potential capacity of 14.5 GW and investments of around $70bn. "Agrivoltaics: Solar and crops can coexist" - Cornell University researchers have developed a computational model to show that solar and crop production can exist together, improving microclimates and surface temperature of solar modules. Balanced approach needed for carbon removal methods to limit global warming, study finds. Six different methods, including enhanced weathering and direct ocean capture, could remove up to 10 gigatons of carbon dioxide annually by mid-century, according to researchers from the U.S. Department of Energy's Pacific Northwest National Laboratory. Australia's renewable energy investment sees a welcome bump, but still falls short of 82% target.
